PNe8alpha3 - adding contamination to our theoretical data

To better match the observations we have begun adding contamination to our theoretically generated data. This is the process:

Initial large catalogs for each field were generated by the preceeding methods (see PNe8alpha page). The new part now is the subsampling/contamination adding.

The number of desired PNe for each field are set. For each field the correct number of PNe are sampled from the large catalog.
The contamination fraction is considered, and the (integer) value of contaminants is computed. The program steps backward from the end of that field's PNe and replaces the correct number with randomly generated coordinates that are within this field's boundaries [this requires reading in fits info/etc for each field].

Contamination is varied from 0% to 100%, in steps of 10%, for each field. Files are generated, here are the results:

NOTE: There is only ONE contaminated catalog made for each percentage... this might need to be fixed in later realisations.

                                                                       Start by reading in all data files from each field
                                                                       Define number of PNe to sample from each field (now it is set based on how many have been observed, to compare)
                                                                       For each field (example: field 3) sample the proper number out of full catalog
                                                                       Read in fits header info
                                                                       Generate fake PNe (x,y) coordinates / convert to RA/DEC
                                                                       Back-substitute these into the sampled list from before
                                                                       repeat for all fields, 4, 7, Sub, etc
                                                                       write out final data file
